This is something I know many PR agencies will have experienced but… I thought I’d be a bit different with my response to what might otherwise be considered pretty pants news.
For the last few months, we’ve been talking to a leading e-cigarette brand.
We have developed a PR plan for them and some great (if I may say so myself) creative and occasionally controversial ideas, some with a link-building slant.
All was going brilliantly, positive meetings had, days and days of combined work put in but… the marketing director we were working with has now left. The CEO understandably doesn’t have the time to pursue PR now, split as he is with everything else.
The plan is too good to throw on the scrap heap, quite frankly. Selfishly, I’d prefer all our work to amount to something, but also, I’m confident it could be made to work for another consumer-facing e-cigarette/vaping brand.
Now, PR plans can’t simply be copied and pasted – every business is different – but there’s more than enough there research and ideas-wise to make it worth talking to others in the space.
So, in what might be the first time this has been done, e-cigarette/vaping brands, talk to me.
